Burney Falls Camping - Fishing

Rudy and Morgan took the kids fishing. Gabriel was dissapointed that he did not catch a fish but the other kids did which was great since they had to leave earlier than the rest of us.

Evan is infatuated with the live fish. He saw some of the fish after they were caught and then again once they were cleaned and he had this look on his face that said"What happened to their heads?"

The next day Gabriel caught his first fish. He was so excited!

Learning how to clean the fish.

Burney Falls Camping - Misc

The Girls sitting around relaxing with wine before dinner, it was nice to visit and not chase after kids for a while.

On Wednesday we went to Lassen National Park and it was so beautiful, I wish we could have spent more time there.

We had fun at the campfire, drinking wine and/ or beer and roasting marshmallows

Evan was very fascinated with this worm he found

He loves bugs of any kind.

Burney Falls Camping - The Falls

So this was our 2nd Annual trip to Burney Falls for a week of camping. I still cannot get over how beautiful the falls are, it is breathtaking everytime I see it. Last year we did not take Evan down to the falls because it was just too hard without his chair and he tired easily and wanted to be carried. Try carrying a 40+ pound child up a steep incline or stairs, not the easiest thing to do. Well this year I was bound and determined to get a pic of my kids and my family at the falls. Well it did not quite work out that way because Rudy had to make some phone call for work and once we got down to the falls Gabriel ran off with his cousins and it was too hard to get his attention with the noise of the falls.

But I got Evan down there. It was not easy and I had to take him down two flights of stairs but they were not too steep so it worked really well and he laughed because it was a bit bumpy. Now going up was another story.

It was really hard getting Evan through all of the rocks but I was not letting him miss out. It felt so great to just work hard and get him down there.

Trying to get a picture, he did not feel to secure on the rock. It did not help that he would not let go of the orange shovel in his right hand.

He was crying but I took the pic anyway because I wanted the falls behind him.

This is a great pic of Cynthia and Evan

Now a pic of Momma and Evan
Maybe next year I will get the family picture

Burney Falls Camping - At the beach

During our camping trip to Burney Falls we usually spent most of out day at the beach. It was great because the kids spent most of the time in the water or playing in the sand.
Cousins

Me with Evan, my mom, Aunt, other Aunt(on the raft) and my niece Mia is on the raft as well.

Mom and Auntie Colleen

Cynthia even got into building things on the beach.

This sand stuff is serious business.

Evan and Momma

Evan was carrying buckets of water from the lake and then washing off our feet with them.

He really enjoyed the water this year.

getting some water for his foot washing

This is my mom's best friend Joannie and Evan is washing her feet.

Rudy was such a good dad, he forgot his swim trunks and got in the water anyway.
He took Evan out on his little one man raft
Cynthia spent a lot of time in the water just floating

My little niece Sophia is 15 months, she really enjoyed the beach as well
My brother Greg with his little girl
She is so little but full of spunk. She is talking and has so much personality. Her and Evan get along really well.

Updated Pics of the kittens - 4 weeks old

The kittens are now close to being 6 weeks old but here are soem pics of them at 4 1/2 weeks. It amazes me that they have grown so fast.

They are now all over the place and are eating solid food and using the litter box. Some still nurse but I still consider them weaned since they can eat solid food.

The kids have named them as well. They know that we are not keeping any of the kittens.
