We did a little overnighter camping trip to Camp Lotus which is up Hwy 50 near Cameron Park. It is a great camping place with a grassy area and riverbanks to play on. Plenty of room for the kids to rides bikes and play. My parents have a trailor and have become frequent campers.
All of the grandkids now have fishing poles. Evan got this cool Spongebob pole from Grandma and Grandpa. He hardly put the thing down all weekend and would have been happy to be by the riverbank putting in and out of the water. He was happy to drag it around the camp area, we tied it so that it would not let line out when and if someone hit the little button to cast it.
I love that we can drive an hour away and be in this type of scenery that is the ideal camping environment. My sisters kids were there but she was home enjoying a free weekend(free of kids & hubby) I was so jealous, but maybe it will be my turn next time(hint, hint)
What would camping be without a log to sit and enjoy your evening glass of wine(I was enjoying a yummy margarita) This is my mom and my sister's youngest Mia.
This is a duplicate picture. Isn't Evan such a cutie? Gabriel and Cynthia were there also but I just did not take too many pics. We go back for Memorial day so I will do more pics then.
